Blackburn Rovers forward Paul Gallagher made his 50th Premiership appearance for the club in the game with West Ham United on Sunday.

Unfortunately the Rovers forward, who’s appearance came as a substitute couldn’t do anything to prevent the defeat seeing his half-century tarnished with defeat.

Since his debut, also as a substitute for Dwight Yorke as a 19-year-old on March 15th 2003 Gallagher has found a first team place difficult to hold down but has more often than not shown enough to prove he has plenty to offer us in the future. His loan spell with Stoke City during the 2005-2006 season worked wonders for him, seeing him comes back a stronger and hungrier player.

So that is 50 not out for the Scottish International, let’s hope the next 50 Premiership matches come along quicker?
