A Very Merry Christmas

I know it’s technically Christmas Eve but there are no reasons not jump the gun with a festive shoutout (other than being impatient).

We would just like to wish everybody connected with Vital Blackbutn a very safe and happy Christmas with loved ones.

With your help this year we as a site have managed to soar in popularity in what has been a very turbulent but debate inducing year.

We’ve seen a year in which the protests have been a large part of our lives, the summer transfer window rumour mill go through the roof at times and the continued cloud of uncertainty hanging over the club ensuring that passions run high on a daily basis.

But through all that VBers have stayed true to their club and ensured some lively debate throughout on both the articles and the forum sections of the site.

We’ve seen Vital Blackburn being represented on the pitch at Stamford Bridge in a summer tournament and we’ve even been acknowledged as a site on the BBC website, the Lancashire Telegraph and in several national newspapers which for an ‘unofficial site’ is no mean achievement.

We have even seen the largest number of unique users register with us throughout a calender year (beating the previous record by over four times the amount!)

So as well as wishing all a happy and not too drunk festive period can we just take this opportunity to say a massive THANK YOU for all your support and your dedication to the site.

Without your help and eager use we wouldn’t be in the position we are in today as one of the most established Rovers sites there is and we certainly wouldn’t be anywhere near the size we currently enjoy.

From Bom Bom, Sasman, Glen, 23, Tombo and myself have a great festive day and we’ll see you all back here for more Rovers talk on the other side (that’s boxing day, not, you know, in the after life!)
