Rovers owners Venky’s and Steve Kean are bracing themselves for more protests this week after news of a proposed sale of the club being rejected filtered through to fans.
The target of fans ire in recent months has been manager Steve Kean but amazingly he will now take a back seat as the root problem of the Rovers owners feel the brunt of fan protests.
Black and white halved wreaths of flowers are to be laid at the Jack Walker statue to symbolise the potential ‘death’ of the club as fan continue to oppose the actions of the Indian chicken magnates who celebrate a year in charge of the club on Saturday – the day we face Wigan.
Organisers Simon Littler and Glen Mullan issued a press release saying – ‘As supporters, we have been badly let down.’
‘We have tried and tried again to open a communication channel to have our serious concerns raised and to date the club has failed to listen to these pleas.
‘They have tried to turn supporter onto supporter, whilst continuing to let our club be steered with no leadership and direction.
‘More and more supporters are voting with their feet as attendances dwindle, whilst frustration and worry is now at boiling point as the anger rages.
‘Supporters do not like being used and their allegiance is very firmly behind the removal of Venky’s from Blackburn Rovers.’
