Luke Wall, following his release by Blackburn at the end of his contract, has made a short journey to Accrington with them becoming his new club.

The winger was handed a one-year contract by then Blackburn boss Gary Bowyer but he failed to make it into his first-team plans, which didn’t change under Paul Lambert either when he took charge later in the season at Ewood Park.

Ahead of the arrival of Owen Coyle it was decided Wall was one of those being released.

Wall, who was sent out on loan to Skelmersdale United to gain first-team experience with the Northern Premier League side, has signed a one-year contract with Accrington with that coming with the option of a further 12-months with the League 2 side.
