Alan Judge, along with Millwall winger Chris Taylor, has agreed a deal with Blackburn Rovers. He arrives on a free transfer and will sign officially on July the 1st.

During the January transfer period of 2009, Judge was loaned out to Plymouth Argyle where he stayed for the remainder of the season.

Towards the end of the 2009-10 season, Judge was told by then manager Sam Allardyce that he was surplus to requirements.

Judge returned to Blackburn for the pre season before rejoining for Argyle on loan for the season of 2009-10.

Judge then enjoyed a six month loan stint at Notts County which was due to end in January 2011, the club re-signed him on an initial one month loan while a permanent deal was finalised.

His career statistics show 146 appearances and a tally of 21 goals.

The 24 year old is renowned for his energy on the pitch and his ability to score long range goals. His fans refer to him as ‘The Irish Messi’.

Rovers look to be boosting their midfield after a poor season by agreeing deals with both Judge and Chris Taylor.
