Ashan Ali Syed is on the verge of making a last ditch bid for Blackburn Rovers and has even put forward the idea of letting fans buy shares in the club should he succeed.

Ali Syed has made it clear that the news of Venkys near completion of the deal has not put him off and he is ready to fight to the death (obviously not literally, although that would be fun).

A spokesperson for Ali Syed spoke to the Lancashire Telegraph and said – “We would like the fans to know that we are still very interested in the purchase of Blackburn Rovers. We are committed to the plans that we shared earlier, including the proposed amount of money to be invested.

‘Mr Ali has been impressed by the commitment of the fans and their great interest in the well being of the club. With this in mind WGA have revealed a ground breaking scheme.

‘Should the takeover bid be successful then we are thinking about giving some shares back to the fans, as you the fans should have the right to decide on the future of the club as well’.

It has become apparent though that Ali Syed has an up hill battle on his hands as the sale to Venky’s is expected to be completed in the next few weeks.

Saurin Shah is also on the case with a last ditch bid.
