All Contract Talks On Hold

Rovers have today come to the decision that all players contracts will not be discussed until their battle against survival is won.

There are several players such as the great Tugay and out of contract in the summer players such as Andre Ooijer and Aaron Mokoena that will have to wait till the summer to find out their future.

Also, coming out of a meeting that the Rovers board had was to put on hold deciding the futures of loan talent Carlos Villanueva, Danny Simpson and Gael Givet.

Williams told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph – ‘Our whole focus has to be on staying up at the moment. That is what every single effort is being put into at the moment,”

“We are not in contract discussions with any of our senior players at this moment, that will have to wait.

“The only contracts that are being talked about at the moment is for the youngsters, like offering Andy Haworth a new deal this week. We want to make sure we keep the best youngsters.”

Now there’s some incentive for the guys.
