He who is large and manages Blackburn has come out to address the fans after a disappointing last day trying to sign a striker to bolster the ranks.

Most Blackburn fans were a bit gutted that a new man was not bought in to supplement the strikers that we already have here… and Maceo Rigters.

But Sam has said that despite the effort made, he is content with the riff raff we have on the playing staff after the sole purchase of Yilidray Basturk.

Big Sam, speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph said – “You never want to be in a panic situation because it is then you make the worst selections and the worst choices. We were not in a panic.

“I am very comfortable with the squad, we are improving, we have put ourselves in a reasonable position in the league but we have to go further than that and continue to pick the points up.

“If no other player came our way, I was very content with the squad we have got.”

I am pretty sure the Big Man is putting on something of a brave face as I feel he wanted one more but we do have the players to stay safe in this division.
