Blackburn Rovers manager Sam Allardyce discusses his thoughts on our draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday with Sky Sports.

Ryan Nelsen’s goal looked like it was going to hand Rovers a win at Molineux, however, Sylvain Ebanks-Blake came off the substitutes bench to virtually assure Wolves of Premier League football next season (which has now been confirmed). This 1-1 draw left Allardyce disappointed as the Rovers manager felt too many chances went begging.

Allardyce told Sky Sports News: “I’m thoroughly disappointed with a draw based on the performance shown today.

“We’re bitterly disappointed (based) on the chances created which were not converted to make the score more comfortable for us and unfortunately it has ended up a draw.

Big Sam was always worried that the failure to score a second goal would come back to cost us as it did.

He added: “Wolves never gave up and they put a lot of pressure on us in the second half and I always felt we’d get the opportunity to put the game beyond them but unfortunately today we didn’t take it.
