Blackburn have confirmed an extension to Ramirez Howarth’s loan spell at Bamber Bridge, which will keep him with the non-league club into the New Year.

Howarth joined the Evo-Stik First Division side last month on an initial month-long deal. This has now been extended for a second-month to take him through until early 2017, giving him continued football to benefit his development.

Prior to this extension, announced on Tuesday, the 19-year-old had been involved in four games with the forward scoring the one goal for Bamber.

The aims for Howarth over this next month, possibly more, will be to play as much football as he can as he looks to impress in the hope of getting his first-team chance with Blackburn like Ryan Nyambe has recently.

Nyambe, also 19, was handed his maiden start for Rovers in the weekend draw with Huddersfield.
