Manager Paul Lambert has spoken following his decision to leave Blackburn Rovers at the end of the season.

With Lambert long making his thoughts known about the running of the club, the fact he felt he was a spokesman for everything and the lack of clarity surrounding what he felt was his ability to do the job how he wanted, today the club confirmed that he had tended his resignation and would be departing Ewood Park following the final game of the campaign.

Speaking about the decision himself, Lambert said bluntly that if Blackburn ‘wants to keep doing what it’s doing it’s fine, but it’s not for me’.
