Manager Owen Coyle has praised the Blackburn Rovers side for ‘standing up’ to be counted in last night’s victory over Crewe Alexandra.
Welcoming the side to Ewood Park for the second round of this season’s League Cup competition, Blackburn’s form so far this year continued and they found themselves two nil down, but with one goal back before the half time break, it set up a good second half that eventually ended with extra time and Shane Duffy winning the game with a goal at the right end.
