Blackburn were beaten by Hull on Saturday, leaving Rovers too close to comfort to the relegation zone. Paul Lambert shares his views following this two-nil defeat at Ewood Park.

Lambert was happy enough with a first half he didn’t think had ‘much in it’ but early in the second half goals from Abel Hernandez and Mo Diame proved decisive with him most disappointed by the fact for each goal Blackburn ‘had the ball twice and Hull have scored two goals.’

Having gained possession the decision making was wrong with these proving costly as he knew they would against team like Hull who do have Premier League quality in the side, with many left over from last season.

The second goal killed it off with him finding it hard to understand how Blackburn could have played like they did at Middlesbrough to get a point and then ‘turn in that performance’ against Hull.

It left him saying Rovers ‘have to find consistency quickly, really quickly’ with us left looking over our shoulders at those below in the relegation zone.
