Blackburn drew one-one with Middlesbrough in the Championship on Saturday, Rovers boss Paul Lambert has given his views on this draw and the shared points it meant.

Lambert felt that Blackburn were ‘the better team and we should have won it’ due to the ‘chances we had’ with this denied Rovers by a David Nugent equaliser with him saying the performance was ‘outstanding’ against the title chasing side.

Jordi Gomez had marked his debut with a 20-yard strike to have Blackburn ahead late on then came that equaliser at the Riverside Stadium where ‘we dominated the middle of the pitch’ and as much as Middlesbrough are second he was happy Rovers ‘put a lot of pressure on them.’
