Vital Blackburn’s most recent Poll asked you “Forward of the Month for September?” You voted Benni McCarthy for the second month running.

Winning the August Forward of the Month poll by some way, with 73% this month the South African again comfortably claims the crown and advances to the overall poll to determine Septembers Player of the Month.

It was a close run thing between Shabani Nonda and Francis Jeffers for the runner up position for a while. Having taken an early lead Jeffers would peg Nonda back before the Congolese International eventually came through with 13% to push Jeffers down to third with 8%.

Paul Gallagher, last months runner-up in the forwards stake would finish with 6% this time round.

So in summary
Francis Jeffers – 8%
Benni McCarthy – 73%
Shabani Nonda – 13%
Paul Gallagher – 6%

As the search for the Rovers player of the month for September concludes the current poll (running for Friday and Saturday at the most, maybe shorter?) is asking, “Player of the Month for September?

Forwards Benni McCarthy and Shabani Nonda join Brett Emerton, Lucas Neill, David Bentley and Robbie Savage to determine who you felt deserved the title as Vital Blackburn Rovers Player of the Month for September.

As for what you think, cast your vote, and why not have your say on the latest polls findings…

  • David Bentley has now pulled level with Neill. Would be good to have a real close battle! But we want the most deserving man to win, not just our favourite (not saying that this is what you are doing at all Ex Ewood Resident) Bentley got my vote as well!

  • My vote wold have to be for Benni, the others have done very well but u have to keep in mind that Benni is only @ the club and look how well he has settled, a credit to him

  • It’s still pretty close, a few votes for Neill (although unfairly in light of recent comments he’d lose votes!) and Benni and they are right back in with Emerton.

  • I have been very impressed by Frannies movement, I think a good first team run and of course the all important cofidence pills (a goal) could be a steal.

  • He is starting to look good isn’t he, played a key roll in Bentley’s goal against Wigan didn’t he, what a class move between the pair of them. A goal will really set him up, so hopefully this will come sooner rather than later.

  • Maybe he very well could? All it sometimes takes is that first goal. Once you get it you can be flying, like Crouchy has for sometime now!
