Berg backs Black and Co.

|

Rovers manager Henning Berg has today brushed off recent reports regarding the future of the current Ewood backroom team and insisted – I’m in charge when it comes to football.

There were reports in the last fortnight that assistant manager Eric Black and coaches Bobby Mimms and Iain Brunskill were for the chop in a shuffle intended to get things back on track but that has now been postponed till January at the earlist (if at all).

But Berg has insisted he has the final call and has backed the talent behind him at his disposal.

‘Nothing has changed since I started this job,’ Berg told Sky Sports. ‘I will make the football decisions.

‘I am assessing things, I’m looking to work with the people we have here and that’s where I stand.’

‘What I’m not too happy with is speculation about the rest of the coaching staff.

‘We have some good coaches here, some good people, and, for them to see these speculations in the paper, it’s not a nice thing to do.

‘I’m not happy with that and we have to make sure that we talk to people in a situation like that because, like I said these are good coaches and they know what to do.’
