Contrary to reports in the Daily Mail Blackburn aren’t considering an offer made by Championship rivals Brighton for our former Man United and Leciester winger Ben Marshall.

It was reported that a £1.5m offer had ‘been tabled’ for the 24-year-old and we we’re ‘weighing up’ such a bid but hot on the heels of him insisting he’s happy at Ewood Park the Lancashire Telegraph has dismissed the rumours.

An enquiry had been made, and they do say there’s no smoke without fire so that’s most likely the basis of Marshall saying he wasn’t looking to leave Blackburn, with that confirmed but Brighton were instantly told last week the winger wasn’t for sale.

Will this bring about an end to reports linking him, with former loan club Sheffield Wednesday also credited with an interest, with an exit? Probably not!

Regarding possible arrivals, we know that our four trialists will be given an extended chance with young Man City striker Jordi Hiwula also linked with a loan move to Ewood Park but an interest in former Fulham striker Hugo Rodallega, following his release from Fulham, was denied in that same report.
