Sam Allardyce is confident Franco Di Santo will be continue to do the business for Rovers until January, but is not convinced that Chelsea will let him stay.

Di Santo is on an agreed loan at Ewood Park for half a season but if the current transfer window ban imposed on Chelsea remains then the talented Argentine will probably be on his way back to Stamford Bridge come the turn of the year.

He was in fine touch on Saturday and showed some awesome skills holding up the ball and bringing others into play. He was also really unfortunate not score.

Whatever happens in January, Allardyce is keen to maximise the effect Di Santo has on the Blackburn first team and is of no doubt that Chelsea will benefit from him being at Rovers.

Allardyce, speaking to Sky Sports said -‘Franco has contributed a huge amount,’

‘He could have gone on loan to a club in Europe, but Chelsea wanted to find out whether he is good enough for the Premier League.

‘There’s no doubt that if he continues to play like he did on Saturday he will be great for us. Then perhaps Chelsea can benefit.’

Is there anyway that Chelsea will not notice and let us keep him until the end of the season?! I think we are the only other Premier League club who will end up cursing this Chelsea transfer ban.

The more we see of him the better he gets. I would go as far to say in ninety minutes he has, barring injury, relegated Jason Roberts to the bench permanently.
