Big Sam set to wait for the right striker

Big Sam Allardyce is prepared to play the waiting game to get the right striker into the club – despite initially claiming that he wanted all sumer business done by the World Cup.

But with the tournament starting in 3 days it seems a tad unlikely this will be so and Allardyce, it seems, is struggling to find the right value in the market for a club with as limited funds as Rovers.

There is also the feeling that Rovers could wait to sell off a few fringe players that Allardyce can afford to lose, which will stengthen rovers bargaining power.

Vince Grella is apparently set for a £2 million move to Galatasaray and players such as Pascal Chimbonda, El Hadji Diouf and maybe even Keith Andrews are rumoured to be under consideration to sell to raise funds (this is speculation).

But either way, it seems we are in for playing the waiting game… just like every pre-season!!!
