Rovers manager Sam Allardyce wants a go at managing an international side – in 2/3 years time.
Sam missed out on the England job when Steve McLaren was appointed a few years ago and that still rankles with him.
Sam has been going about building up Blackburn in the last season and a half and sees himself in the helm for a few years before moving on to the international stage.
Big Sam spoke to the Lancashire Telegraph said – “I would like to coach a national team, if one came up, in another two years, another two to three years in the Premier League is about what I want to do.
“We`ll see how far we can take Blackburn Rovers, we`ll see if we can get them beyond where most people expect and then after that, managing a national side would be very interesting.”
So there you have it…
