Blackburn Reserves won 3-0 away from home at Liverpool last night (27/10) in the Barclays FA Premier Reserve League North.
Blackburn took the lead on 27 minutes with a good individual effort from striker Jemal Johnson beating Dudek with a low shot which went in off the post.
Five minutes into the second half Sergio Peter had the simplest of tap ins to make the score 2-0 following a parried shot from Johnson which fell nicely to the winger.
Former red David Thompson excelled and was unlucky not to score himself. Mind you, it appears he grabbed a Liverpool player by the throat, so he was also lucky not to see red!
Johnson finished the game off with a super strike from just inside the box on 83 minutes.
BLACKBURN: Drench, Kane, Gresko, Stopforth, Nolan (Barr 38), Taylor, Welch, Thompson, Johnson, Harkins, Peter.
