According to Sky Sports, Blackburn Rovers have agreed a deal for Milwall winger Chris Taylor.

Chris Taylor arrives at Blackburn Rovers on a free transfer after passing his medical this morning.

The 26 year old winger will sign officially on July the 1st.

Taylor signed his first professional contract for his childhood club Oldham Athletic in 2005. During his second season he made an impressive 51 league appearances.

He ended his seven year stint with the club on the 31st of May 2012, leaving on a free transfer to Millwall. Under Kenny Jackett he made 17 appearances scoring one goal.

Combined with his time at Oldham, Taylor has achieved 303 appearances and 36 goals in total. He was also placed in the PFA team of the year in 2009.

Rover’s midfield this season had been labelled as weak until the arrival of loanee Dave Jones and return of David Dunn (from injury) so hopes are that Taylor will be able to make an impact in the squad.

During his career Taylor has made an estimated 40-50 assists so provided star striker Jordan Rhodes remains at the club, a potential link up could be developed.
