Blackburn’s recruitment drive continued with the addition of Ben Gladwin, officially confirmed this afternoon.

Swiftly following the arrival of Bradley Dack, signed from Gillingham on Tuesday, former Swindon midfielder Gladwin has joined Rovers for an undisclosed fee from QPR.

After returning to Swindon on several occasions, also spending a loan at Bristol City, Gladwin’s disappointing spell at QPR, heading to Loftus Road in 2015, saw him limited to just 17 appearances.

However, this hasn’t put off Tony Mowbray who has made the midfielder, 25, his fourth signing after Dack, Rotherham’s Richie Smallwood and his first signing as Blackburn boss, Peter Whittingham from Cardiff.

Blackburn will hope Gladwin can recapture the form shown at Marlow FC that brought him to the attention of Swindon and then QPR, having secured him on a two year deal.
