Blackburn Rovers youth system produces again…

Not a terribly long time ago. Negative things were said about Blackburn Rovers academy, and how the last good prospect to come out of Brockhall was a young lad named David Dunn.

This though seems to be long long in the past with a excellent new crop of young players coming hot off the production line in Lancashire.

Today comes the announcement that Reserve prospect and fledgling forward Micah Evans has been given the opportunity to impress Accrington Stanley’s manager John Coleman with a initial one-month-loan deal. This could maybe lead to a longer loan if he impresses.

This comes barely weeks after Evans fellow Reserve team forward Tom Hitchcock returned from a excellent experience based loan at Plymouth Argyle. A experience that will serve the young lad very well in his development.

With the likes of Phil Jones (now Manchester United), Grant Hanley, Josh Morris, Jason Lowe, Zac Aley and Adam Henley either pushing for game time either in the league or in cup comps or even getting game time currently in the Premier League. As well as the likes of Jackson Ramm, Robbie Cotton and Cameron Lindsay getting rave reviews, whilst fellow team-mates are getting loan run-outs in the football leagues. You cannot help but be optimistic about the future of Blackburn Rovers and their academy prospects.

Even if the league position is rather poor… We still have allot to be optimistic about!
