Rovers chief Mark Hughes is set to make a move for Wigan striker Henri Camara, according to the players agent.

The Senegal striker is deemed surplus to requirements at Wigan despite being a pacy forward who can finish… because apparently Wigan have loads of those… Heskey anyone??

Blackburn could pick him up for a reasonable price and despite this being mere specualtion at this point, Rovers have made contact.

His agent in Africa, Mamadou Cherif, said: ‘I have been in contact with Portsmouth and Blackburn,’ he told the L’Observateur website in Senegal.
‘There is one club who have made an offer which is Fulham, but Wigan haven’t responded and it doesn’t please us much either. I am working on two trails: Portsmouth and Blackburn.’

I for one would be delighted to have Henri here as he has shown he can do it and I know Hughes could get the best out of him. But he must keep his notorious attitude in check… if he is to be a success.

If he does it is the final nail in the coffin of Shabani Nonda’s move to Ewood.
