Young striker Nick Blackman has joined the seagulls Blackpool on a months loan in a bid to step up his progress.

Blackman has been in very good form for the Rovers reserve side netting a few goals and looking composed on the ball. He has now been deemed ready for a loan move to see how he goes at a higher level than the one he has been playing at.

It is initially a one month deal but could be extended depending on how it goes and how both clubs feel.

Blackman will be linking up with Mr.Blackburn and genuine Rovers legend Tony Parkes.

  • Looked good when I saw him in the reserves and hopefully he can get a good experience going out on loan to a club battling against relegation, with something to play for.

  • A good move and a move that will get him better prepared for next season when I would expect him to make inroads into the first-team squad at the very least. Parkes will keep a good eye on him and see he’s OKAY.
