New Blackburn Rovers signing Nick Blackman marked his Rovers debut with a goal in Lancashire FA Canterbury Senior Cup victory over Oldham Athletic on Wednesday lunchtime.

The 19-year-old striker who joined from Macclesfield on Monday made his first start in the reserve win and scored the second goal in the 3-0 win, which takes Rovers into the Quarter Finals and a meeting with Blackpool. Blackman lasted 82 minutes before being replaced by Julio Santa Cruz.

David Dunn also featured as he stepped up his return from his latest hamstring injury and the midfielders 45 minutes could give him an outside chance of being fit to for our Premier League match against Newcastle United on Saturday.
