Bolton have confirmed that the relegation clash between Bolton and Rovers WILL go ahead as planned on Saturday after the Wanderers confirmed they want to crack on as normal with their fixture schedule.

There were some major doubts over the game’s original date in light of the Fabrice Muamba situation but after a consultation with Fabrice’s family and the players Bolton have decided to keep to the original scheduled Saturday date.

Bolton manager Owen Coyle told Bolton’s official site – ‘We spoke together with the players as a group this morning and I talked with Fabrice’s family last night.

‘Fabrice’s father Marcel and his fiancĂ©e Shauna were keen that we fulfil our fixtures. Once the players knew this, there was no doubt in our minds that we would play the matches.’

Saturday 24th March it is then.
