There is no doubting that the game of the footballing week is Burnley vs Blackburn, at least in a pocket of Lancashire anyway.

But another local clash is set for tonight and Blackburn manager Henning Berg has called for a vocal home backing and to get tonight’s game done and dusted before concentrating on the weekend’s festivities.

Rovers appear to have no fresh injury worries heading into tonight’s fixture with our boys hoping to bounce straight back from the disappointing loss to Millwall on Saturday.

I think the atmosphere has been quite good in the last couple of games at Ewood,’ the Rovers boss told the official website.

‘The crowd has got behind the team and has been really helpful and that is good to hear and good to see.

‘I think with the Bolton game coming up next the opposition fans will also bring a few of them, and with the rivalry it should be a great atmosphere to be involved in. Something that can also hopefully lift the players.

‘Our focus is all about the Bolton game, that is what we are preparing for, that is what we are thinking about, and when we finish that game then of course we will look to the Burnley game.’

Full steam ahead!
