Rovers are ready to unleash Josh King for the weekend meeting with the division’s best club, after the winger confirmed his availability after injury.

King started the season in explosive form (after a dodgy first few games), but has been hampered with injuries and niggles ever since, but with the club looking for all the good news it can get in the health department, Bowyer will be relieved to welcome King back.

“We`ve missed Josh and the threat that he brings,’ Bowyer told the Lancashire Telegraph.

“I think this season we`ve seen an improvement in his game.

“That said there is room for more improvement from him. He`s aware of that and he wants to get better.

“So what we`re looking for him to do is finish the season on a real high and add some more goals to his tally and create more goals too.

“Just seeing him back out on the pitch and with a smile on his face is a boost to everyone.”

Rovers are sweating on the fitness of Rudy Gestede and Jason Lowe, with their withdrawals against Huddersfield adding to Tom Cairney’s woes… who will gain miss this weekend’s match.
