Unsurprisingly it has been announced Sky Sports have selected Blackburn’s final game of the 2016-17 season, the trip to Brentford’s Griffin Park, for television treatment.

This game, retaining the original 12 noon kick off time in accordance with the other final day Championship games, was selected by Sky Sports when they made their selection from the games to be played on Sunday.

Victory in the visit of Aston Villa to Ewood Park on Saturday, coupled with Nottingham Forest’s defeat at QPR, who confirmed their own safety, means anything less than a Blackburn win at Brentford this coming weekend and the chances are Rovers will be relegated to League 1.

However, a Blackburn victory might not necessarily ensure Championship survival as goal difference could be a factor, currently slightly inferior to Nottingham Forest. Fifth-bottom Birmingham are also in the mix, the Blues are two points ahead of Rovers and Forest so could be the side relegated if they fail to win and we do.
