Bully Boys? Shove it Wenger….

For many a season, Sam Allardyce and Arsene Wenger have had a running battle about the way the game of football should be played. Arsene has labelled Blackburn bully boys, even before the era of the big man him self. Stemming back to the days of Robbie Savage and Mokoena, to the current era of Samba and Nzonzi, our style of football has never appeased the man who preaches the magical passing game…

Yet it comes to my attention the facts so far this season.

Using statistics found on the Official Barclay Premier League website, it is interesting to see the disciplinary table after 14 games.

In 11th spot, come our Rovers with 24 yellow cards, and 1 solitary red card, given to Chris Samba after a clumsy last man challenge.

In 20th, last, bottom spot, is Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal with 30 yellow cards and 4 red cards. What makes the table even more interesting is that Arsenal are a full 8 points behind 19th placed Wolves, whilst 9 points is what seperates Rovers from being the fairest team in the league, along with Everton….

And with the player with the second most fouls in the league, Alex Song (31), Arsenal out do Blackburn again, with our worst offendent being Phil Jones with 23 fouls! Heck, Song is lucky Kevin Mr Offside Davies leads the tally count!

And so there we have it, for all his moaning and whinging, Mr Wenger might just be better off looking at his own backyard!
