Speaking exclusively to us at Vital Blackburn, Morten Gamst Pedersen has opened up once again, just for our VBERS!!!

For those VBERS who have been here a while now, last year we managed to catch a scoop with Morten Gamst Pedersen stepping up onto the hot seat, and taking on Sas in a Getting to Know

Getting to Know…Morten Gamst Pedersen!!!

Morten has gladly stepped up to the plate yet again, and even though we did our best to get a Swedish Princess as her is request, Aussie Sas will just have to do!

1)So whats new for our Norweigan winger. How was the pre-season trip to Hong Kong and what did the squad gain from it?

It was a brilliant trip! I had never been in Hong Kong so it was great to get a chance to visit and to get to know the country and the people living there. One of the best things about being a professional football player is that we get to travel the world and do the thing we love the most, play football. We played against good teams in Hong Kong, both other Premier league teams and a local team and that`s good for us.

2) You along with Ryan Nelsen and Jason Roberts had the opportunity to travel to India and meet the owners. What did you gain out of that experience?

It was a perfect opportunity for us to get to know our owners better and get to see what kind of plans they have. There are a lot of split opinions about the Blackburn Rovers situation, and it was good for us to get to know the owners and get to know their story. It`s not up to me to tell their plans, but I am satisfied about what they told me about their future plans for Blackburn Rovers. If all goes to plan, we will again be a force to be reckon with.

3) So far we have signed Vukcevic, Ribiero, Goodwillie, Petrovic, Dann and Yakubu. How have these lads adapted and slotted in with the rest of the Rovers outfit?

As always players come and go, and we are all doing our best to welcome new players to the squad. And all the players that have come in this time are really nice guys and proper professionals who will for sure strengthen our team. Some players adapt immediately and that is good, other players need some time and it is important that we are patient and give them the time they need so they can start to contribute to the team as soon as possible.

4) Who is the funniest individual in the Rovers Squad. What makes him stand out?

David Dunn never let`s a chance to stir up a good laughter pass him. He is a really nice and funny guy, but you have to watch your back or else you might be the victim of a practical joke

5) This season will see you earn your 250th cap for Rovers. How does it feel to reach this milestone?

That is something I don`t think so much about, because I have no intentions about stopping at 250! Don`t get me wrong, I love the fact that I have come this far in my career, and especially here at Blackburn. Blackburn is my club and I`m so proud that I have been able to play in this club for so long, but I want more. I want to play in this club as long as I can, and 300 and more sounds better, don`t you think? 😉

6) A slow start to this season with 3 loses, but on the bright side, a goal for Morten Gamst Pedersen. How do you see our season panning out. Can we avoid a relegation battle and hopefully have a good cup run?

I hated the way last season ended, with us in the relegation zone. And I will do everything in my powers to avoid that from happening again.

7) Our supporters are some of the most passionate in the league. What would you like to say to the VBERS (Vital Blackburners) and fellow Rovers?

COME ON YOU BLUES, let`s kick ass! And yeah, I`m really proud of our supporters and I wouldn`t change you for anybody. I as a player am lucky to have you as my supporters.

Once again, a superb read. On behalf of all here, we would like to thank Morten Gamst Pedersen for his time, and wish him all the best this season as well as his international commitments with Norway.
