A fifth win in a row at Ewood couldn’t come as a week on from thrashing Stoke, which set up the meeting with Liverpool in the FA Cup ΒΌ final, we had to be content with a draw against lowly Blackpool.

Blackburn probably deserved to win but Blackpool passed up a good chance to go ahead early in the second half in a game that ended one-one on Saturday.

When Rhodes (14) was on hand to turn in a Conway cross early on things looked and a win was sensed, Blackpool ‘keeper Lewis stopped Kilgallon and Spurr with Rhodes volleying wide as more goals were threatened.

Hall (42) headed home just before the break to draw Blackpool level. They could have gone ahead early in the second half when O’Hara’s freekick was turned onto the post by Steele, following up Hall somehow failed to convert putting this into the side netting from close range.

Rhodes went close, Gestede twice headed against the woodwork before being brought off with King coming on. Lewis kept out another Rhodes volley with Brown and Baptiste, against his former side, both failed to hit the target as the game ended in a one-one draw.

Following this game, as is customary of course, attention now turns to the MotM for us – who you think this was?
