After three straight defeats, Blackburn Rovers badly needed a win to get their season back on track at Cardiff City on Tuesday night, and they got it, in spectacular style.
Having twice come from behind to equalise through Danny Graham and Dominic Samuel, Rovers then secured victory thanks to a goal that even by Adam Armstrong’s high standards this season, was something special.
Capitalising on a loose pass infield, Armstrong hit a first-time effort from more than 35-yards out, which looped over ‘keeper Alex Smithies and into the Cardiff net, with Rovers then hanging on to secure three points that just keep their play-off hopes alive this season.
Was Adam Armstrong's goal vs Cardiff goal of the season?
Yes
No
But while many others were waxing lyrical about his strike post-match, Armstrong himself seemed to play it down somewhat as he took to Twitter to reflect on the winning, with the attacker adding that he was “happy” to have “grabbed a goal”.
After a tough week of games the lads bounced back last night with a great performance and win! Happy to have grabbed a goal! Onto the next! Thankyou for all your messages!β€οΈπ΅βͺοΈππ» @Rovers pic.twitter.com/Mv8mMbOarx

Responding to that post, plenty of Rovers fans were keen to address the goal for the stunner that it really is, and here, we take a look at what some of them had to say.
