Chimbo told to find a new club

Rovers defender Pascal Chimbonda has been told he should find a new club, the Daily Mail is reporting.

Chimbonda can play anywhere across the back four but has found first team starts as rare as most French steaks.

Chimbonda was told only three months ago that he could not move to West Ham on transfer deadline day as Rovers needed cover in the versatile Frenchman but with a takeover now in place it seems the ex-Wigan, Spurs and Sunderland man will be surplus to requirements.

His cause probably wasn’t helped with a truly awful display in the 7-1 defeat to Man United at the weekend.

With Gael Givet also rumoured to be unsettled it is safe to assume there will be a little overhaul of the left back spot in the next transfer window…
