Blackburn boss Owen Coyle has said players are ready to join Rovers – he’s just awaiting the green light from Venky’s to complete these January transfers.

Coyle said he’s using the contacts he’s built up over the years from his time in the game. He’s now aiming to make the most of these, which aren’t limited to players in England.

He told the Lancashire Telegraph.

‘I am reaching out to all of the markets because I want to bring good players to Blackburn Rovers. We will utilise all of our contacts, which we have, there are many from the years we have been in the game. Within those targets I think it`s fair to say they don`t all come from England, but it`s about getting the right ones in and over the line.’

The trio he’s got lined up will improve the squad – if they wouldn’t why look to sign them – but he added financial backing will be needed to make them happen.

‘There are three targets I have in my mind who I believe would improve the club and the team and that`s what we`re trying to do. To get those over the line takes a number of things to come together, a huge part of that is the finances being available and at the right level.’

The Blackburn boss went on to say that he and Football Director Paul Senior have been working closely this month as Rovers look to identify players to boost the squad and improve our Championship survival hopes.

Coyle said they would add ‘pace, power and quality’ to benefit the team ‘in different areas of the field’ but stopped short of naming players specifically yet feels certain these are deals that could be signed off quickly.

As regards to them wanting to come to Ewood Park he’s certainly they do.

‘I know that they do, there is no doubt about that. I think they would enhance the squad. I think we have brought some very good players to the club in the first window and we would like to continue that by adding to the quality of players that we have. I see potential in these three if we are able to conclude all of those deals’

He finished by saying the sooner these deals – if they will be done – are concluded the better.

‘The sooner we get them in the better because it would help them settle in and be more readily available for the games coming up to complement and add to the squad. We have returned a few players and we want to make sure we have a far healthier and available squad for the demands of second half of the season.’

Well, Coyle’s made his part clear with it now down to Venky’s to back the boss!
