Injury has ended Doneil Henry’s loan with Blackburn, forcing him back to West Ham midway through his loan spell.

A hamstring injury picked up against Charlton last Saturday ended his season, which Gary Bowyer told the Official Website obviously meant ended his loan spell at Ewood Park.

‘Unfortunately for Doneil Henry it is going to be the end of his season for him, he’s with a specialist as we speak.

‘We wish him all the very best.’

This is a shame as in his short time with Blackburn he had impressed and the chances are that he would have extended his loan, which you also think his parent club would have approved to give him the first-team football he wouldn’t have got at this stage at Upton Park.

Maybe, if he’s not in the West Ham first-team next season, the 21-year-old could return to Ewood Park?
