Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce has broke the early team news by stating that Chris Samba and captain Ryan Nelsen are both a doubt for Sundays trip to the Emirates.

But the good news is that Gael Givet is alive and well and back in the squad for the tough test that Arsenal always give.

Allardyce, speaking to Sky Sports said – ‘We’ve a couple of little injuries, we’ve still got a concern about Chris Samba who came off towards the end of the game last week.

‘It’s still an ongoing problem for us which we’ll wait until the final hour with. Ryan Nelsen suffered a heavy fall with a bit of a back injury, so it’s a particular concern because they’re both in the same area.

‘But we’ll give it until the 11th hour and I hope they make it for Sunday against Arsenal. Getting the extra 24 hours I hope will be a bit of a bonus for those two and we’ll see if we can get them both fit.

‘I’m confident that at least one will make it but, if they don’t, they don’t We’ll reshuffle the pack and use the players we’ve got.

‘(Gael) Givet is okay though, he’s joined in training this week. Steven Reid picked up a little bit of an Achilles problem but that’s not too serious. It’s just defensive worries at the moment.’

Steven Reid picked up a little bit of a problem? Now there is a massive suprise!

Other than that we have a full compliment of players. Good times.
