Derby’s Craig Forsyth is being linked with a move to Blackburn with Rovers seeing another name linked with an exit as Ben Marshall has been mentioned in connection with a move to Wolves?

Forsyth missed most of last season with Derby after suffering a cruciate ligament injury with former Blackburn left back Marcus Olsson, funnily enough, the one who could well keep him out of the side this season.

The Daily Mail has reported a £500,000 offer has been made to Derby for the full back (with Owen Coyle already bringing in Stephen Hendrie on a season-long loan from West Ham) but that wouldn’t be close enough to the asking price with £1m said to be enough to tempt them into selling.

I’m not convinced by this and with Wolves having now parting company with Kenny Jackett I wouldn’t be that convinced our Championship rivals will be looking to sign Marshall either as they’ll probably be looking to ‘spend more money’ following the Chinese takeover at Molineux.

That wouldn’t be a bad thing for Blackburn as we wouldn’t want to sell Marshall anyway would we!

Reports in the Express & Star said an offer of £4m plus would be enough to tempt Blackburn into selling the winger though, which wouldn’t be an amount I would anticipate us getting with the 25-year-old now in the final year of his contract.
