Derbyshire Wants Roque To Roq On

From one Rovers forward to another, Matt Derbyshire feels that losing Roque Santa Cruz would be a massive blow to the club.

Matty, speaking to Lancashire Evening Telegraph, said “Of course, I want Roque to stay at Blackburn.

“He`s a fantastic player and I love playing alongside him.

“He`s been great for Blackburn and he`s a great goalscorer and hopefully he will stay with us.

“I really don`t know whether he will leave us or not but, from our point of view, we really want him to stick with Blackburn.

“As well as being a fantastic striker, he`s a great bloke to have around the club.

“Roque`s always really cheerful and he`s a good laugh, but he always works hard in training which you can tell by the way he plays.”
