Blackburn Rovers new-boy Franco Di Santo hopes to deliver a the goods at Rovers as he looks to make his short stay here a memorable one.

The 20-year-old Argentinian, on loan from Chelsea until the January transfer window at the very earliest, was at Brockhall today for his first training session and is going to be in contention for his first bit of Ewood action tonight.

Rovers play Hibernian tonight and it will give Di Santo his first chance to show his team mates what he is all about and it is also the first step on the road to being a better player – which is the aim of his stay.

Di Santo, speaking to Rovers.co.uk said – “I`m very happy to be at Blackburn because they are a big team and I want to improve,”

“I need to improve, score goals and be happy. I will try and score in every game.”

He also bragged (tounge in cheek) about his aerial prowess and shared a small joke – making it 1-0 on the Di Santo/Kalinic joke competition that should really be run during their Ewood careers.

He continued – “I like playing in the air. I will try and score in every game if my team-mates cross to me!”

Good start from the Chelsea man.
