Paul Dickov has been released by Blackburn after he rejected an offer of a new contract at Ewood Park.
Rovers’ chairman John Williams told the Lancashire Evening Post: ‘Paul has been released after he decided not to accept our offer of a new contract.
‘I don’t think there was any problem with the terms we offered him, it was more of a football decision.’
Dickov scored seven goals last season for Mark Hughes’ side after joining for £150,000 from Leicester in June 2004.
