Dioufy Considering Yet Another Return!!

Blackburn Rovers striker El-Hadji Diouf has retired and then returned to International football more times than I’ve had hot dinners and this is on his mind again.

Diouf’s latest Senegalese retirement came in April 2009 after the African’s failed to qualify for the 2010 World Cup, that had to be his third or fourth (at least) International retirement at that time!! The 29-year-old has been asked by Mamadou Niang (Senegal’s captain) to end his latest retirement and this is something that he is thinking about.

It’s always a privilege to play for your country and you can see why players want to do this, however, a Dioufy return to the International stage would see him having to travel halfway around the World on a regular basis and that could well impact on his club form for Rovers. The selfish part in me would like him to stick to his original decision but I’d not be surprised if he did return for the Black Stars, even if it was only for a short period once again.
