Don’t Forget The Rovers Reserves

The Blackburn Rovers reserves often get overlooked, but a few gentle reminders from the Official Blackburn Rovers Website have reminded me we really do have a decent reserve team as well!!!

As well as having some youth (and quality youth coming through at that!) to select from Rovers Reserve Manger Glyn Hodges is also fielding several first team squad members tonight in his latest Pre-Season friendly.

These including recognised first team squad regulars (and often first team players) such Zurab Khizanishvili, Sergio Peter, Paul Gallagher and Francis Jeffers, with fellow first team squad members Frank Fielding, Tony Kane and Eddie Nolan (with soon will be first team squad member Martin Olsson also playing).

You can’t get the same quality from playing reserve football, but this will give players a further chance to impress Mark Hughes ahead of the new season as players jostle for positions in his first team squad and then matchday sixteen.
