Bradley Back’s brace at Wimbledon on Tuesday helped Blackburn to victory in South London. This also ensured Rovers retained top spot in League One, in fact extended this over Wigan as their fixture was called off – handing the Latics a further game in hand mind.

Either side of Elliott Bennett’s goal – his first the season – the former Gillingham midfielder continued his impressive debut campaign for the club with a couple of goals in the 3-0 win at Kingsmeadow.

The opening goal, as Dack looped a header past the Wimbledon goalkeeper, isn’t one he could recall much about, but didn’t doubt it was in.

He told the Official Website: I can’t remember the first goal really apart from it was a tight angle to score from. Payney [Jack Payne] has put a great ball across and I’ve tried to head it back goal. It’s just looped over the ‘keeper but I think it was definitely in as a couple of the boys were warming up on that far side and they say it crossed the line.’

Dack’s second was a wonderful finish though, not that he’s taking too much credit for himself. However, Dack did concede he’s had a ‘good season’ and the fact he’s playing with ‘top players’, including Danny Graham, who provided the assist, is certainly helping.

‘He’s not known for his pace, Dan, but he’s done really well out there and has stuck it in a good area. Luckily I got across the front and nipped it in. I’ve had a good season but it’s great to be playing with top players,’ added Dack.

Thankfully Dack, having missed the win at Walsall, recovered from illness to feature against Wimbledon and proved he was ready, fully fit and ‘feeling good’ from his showing against the Dons.

It took him a while to get going following his arrival at Ewood Park, but once Dack got up and running he’s not looked back, long may this continue.
