Rovers have a few concerns ahead of re-entering Premier League action tomorrow with three players needing checks on the day of the game and a few faces still sidelined.

Morten Gamst Pedersen has picked up a tight hamstring during his excursions from his trip to Norway and is rated doubtful, as is David Dunn on his way back from a injury lay off.

David Goodwillie is also 50/50 as he has come back from Spain with food poisoning which could be as a result or a dodgy Benidorm burger or some paella.

Further worry is provided with the news that club captain Ryan Nelsen is still out with an old injury and Vince Grella has returned to India feeling a hip problem to the surprise of some inhabitants of Planet Jupiter.

But it’s not all doom and gloom with the news that Michel Salgado returns to the squad after doing his back in against Newcastle and Martin Olsson is also available after a one game suspension picked up at the same place.

One guy who could be getting his first start is Simon Vukcevic who Steve Kean has hinted will see a sustained bit of action after limited appearances so far.

Kean told rovers.co.uk – ‘We always know that international football is different, in terms of intensity. But I think he (Simon) showed in that game, his ability and desire to take people on.

‘He’s got a trick, he’s got a cross, he can be quite aggressive and he will be involved in the game on Saturday, no doubt.’
