Blackburn Rovers take on local rivals Bolton Wanderers on Boxing Day with them in good home form, however, Shane Duffy feels we’ve “nothing to fear.”

What’s that saying the only thing to fear is fear itself??

Since Neil Lennon took over at Bolton they’ve remained unbeaten at the Macron Stadium (winning four and drawing one of the five matches played) but Duffy is looking for us to become the first side to take three points away from the former Celtic Manager’s side.

In order to do this the Rovers defender believes (as Gary Bowyer has been “drilling into us”) we’ve got to repeat the fast tempo start like we showed against Charlton Athletic last Saturday afternoon (that got us back to winning ways) so if we do that again even though it’ll be another difficult match he feels we can get the three points.

He told The Lancashire Telegraph: “The gaffer had been drilling it into us all week to start quickly because we had been starting slowly.

“We changed a few things and it worked so we’ve got to stick with it now.

“It will be a tough game on Boxing Day. They’ve been keeping clean sheets and winning games and I think their league position is false because of the start of the season they had but we’ve got nothing to fear and we can go there and get the three points.

Charlton’s become the new “benchmark”, match that and there’s absolutely no reason why we can’t come away from the Macron Stadium with at least a point but ideally all three of them!!
