Since his arrival at Ewood Park from Everton Shane Duffy’s Blackburn Rovers career has been something of a stop-start thing without a consistent run in Gary Bowyer’s side.

A knee injury has seen if confirmed that the Republic of Ireland International isn’t going to play for us again this season, which Bowyer told The Official Website was “devastating news both for the lad and the club” with this a further blow because we’ve got important league and cup games coming up.

Stubbs echoed the thoughts his Manager had shared but feels that he’ll come back stronger, I’ve been through worse, which hopefully he will.

In my honest opinion I don’t think Duffy’s played as much as he should’ve for Rovers this season, however, I’ve got a feeling that he’ll have a far bigger role to play next season after a summer of some change at Ewood perhaps??
