Dunny Will Not Be Rushed Back

David Dunn will not be rushed back into the Rovers squad even though results recently have been worse than expected.

Dunn was immense for rovers before picking up an injury that has ruled him out ever since the Hull game at home.

Paul Ince feels that rushing him back won’t help the tema or David himself in the long run.

Speaking to Rovers world, Incey said, ‘I don’t want to put any pressure on Dunny,’ he told the club’s official website.

‘He’s started running, so we are getting close, but it could be another four or five weeks.

‘We are optimistic. He is a key player for us and I think we saw that at the start of the season against Everton.

‘He gives us something that no-one else has got and those players are worth their weight in gold, so hopefully he’ll be back in four or five weeks.’

Kind of makes sense. We have seen it before with players like David Thompson, you bring them back before they are ready (cough Santa Cruz cough) and they get injured again.

It helps no-one in the long run.

When David is fit and ready to play again, I think we can all say we will be delighted as we are a poorer side without him in it.
